During the school holidays we hold activities aimed at children from 4 to 15 years old.

All of the activities include lunch, drinks and snacks.

Spaces are limited for all holiday activities, book your place early to avoid disapointment.

February Half Term Holiday Activities 

Monday 11th and 18th February

Mini Kids Afternoon                1pm-3pm                              £25.00 

This activity is aimed at children who are between the ages of 4 and 7. Children don't need to have ridden before to take part. It's suitable for lead rein and beginner level.

Tuesday 12th and 19th February           

 Parent and Child Day                             10am- 1pm         £25.00 per child /£35.00 per adult

(there must be at least one adult and 1 child booked per family)

This is a lovely activity that the whole family can enjoy together. This activity is aimed at every level of rider. Parents and children will catch in the horses and ponies and groom them. You'll then take part of a group ride. Please book in at least one child and one adult from your family (you will need to add each rider to your account)

Wednesday 13th and 20th February

Gymkhana Pony Day                   10am-3pm                          £50.00 

This pony days' riding activity is gymkhana, the children will be shown beforehand what is involved so this is suitable for children who have never taken part in gymkhana before. Gymkhana is friendly, novelty races, such as trotting in and out of cones. This activity is suitable for children from level of lead rein up  to experienced. We will divide the children into groups of matching ability. 

Thursday 14th and 21st February         

Jumping Pony Day                      10am-3pm                           £50.00

This activity is aimed at children who are capable of riding independently and have ideally started to jump. Riders will be split into groups according to abililty. 

Please note that the children will spend the majority of their time outside, and so they will need to be appropriately dressed for the weather. It is very open at LPEC and so we advise on bringing them in lot's of layers, a waterproof coat and wellies. Ideally with a spare change of clothes, incase they fall over! For safety reasons the children will wear their riding hat at all times when around the horses. 

 

Easter Holiday Activities

Monday 8th April

Mini Kids Afternoon                      1pm-3pm                              £25.00 

This activity is aimed at children between the age of 4 and 7. Children don't need to have ridden before to take part. It's suitable for lead rein and beginner level. The children will spend time with their favourite ponies, grooming, feeding them and taking oart in a group ride. 

Tuesday 9th - Friday 12th April     

Own a Pony Week                     10am-4pm daily                £200.00         

This activity is aimed at children who are off lead rein. It's the ultimate holiday activity for the keen horse rider! Your child will get to take part in each element of owning their own pony for four whole days. That will include lot's of riding! Riding activies are weather dependant, but if possible we like to get the children riding outside, including hacking and cross country (dependant on their level of experience). 

Owning a pony also include's the care side, includng handling the ponies, catching them from the field, grooming, mucking out and more. So they children will be shown these new skills. 

Wednesday 10th- Saturday 13th April

Competition Pony Week          10am-4pm                            £200.00

This activity is aimed at children who can confidently control their pony in canter and have done some jumping on their regular lesson. (If you are unsure then please speak to their insructor). This activity is perfect for ambitious children who would like to have a go at a friendly competition. The children will be shown how to prepare for a show, including thorough grooming and plaiting, as well as tack cleaning and how to load ponies onto a horsebox. Children will learn the rules of their chosen discipline and how the sport is scored. We will also prepare their riding in themed lessons which all work towards a show on the final day. Parents, grandparents and friends are invited along to watch and cheer on.

Easter Egg Hunt On Horseback    10am-2pm                      £45.00

This activity is aimed at children who are either on the lead rein or riding on a 30 minute lesson. The riding activity will be a walk and trot around the fields to enjoy the countryside views. The ride will lead to an enclosed field where the children can dismount and do an easter egg hunt. There will also be the same horse care activities such as catching in and grooming. 

May Half Term Holiday Activities

Tuesday 28th May

This activity is aimed at children with an interest in jumping. We will concentrate the two days in learning all about showjumping. The children will then get to take part in a friendly competition against each other.

This activity is aimed at children between the age of 4 and 7. Children don't need to have ridden before to take part. It's suitable for lead rein and beginner level. The children will be taken for a lead walk and trot around our enclosed fields.
