I think if people can't afford it and they really want to do it then maybe you can let children help out after a lesson and help out in the stables like grooming and tidying up things like that that would be great! :):)
And maybe get a free lesson or two for the appreciation :):):):):):)

i think it would be a good idea to have a class where children or adults can get their dogs to show off some tricks i think that this would go well with the agility course and the other dog classes that you do. :D

Lovely to come to the Family Show on Saturday. I wanted a chance for my old friend's little girl who goes riding but does not have her own pony, to have a ride in something on my horse Tommy, who is still young but learning to behave very nicely now and is always relaxed in the friendly atmoshere at Liscombe. My friend and daughter drove up from Reading on Friday to help bath and groom for the show and we did fancy dress and handsome gelding on the lead rein. I also ran with them round the smallest possible clear round - her first ever "jump" - totally wore me out! Thank you for great organisation and lovely friendly atmosphere. Miranda was beaming. If you can think of any other easy little classes like that to add for the future, I'm sure they would be popular too. Best turned out? Cleanest tack? Young handler? Beginners showing? Even a class for "riders who do not have their own pony " might be good - a little walk and trot and ask if they helped groom it? I expect lots of your own liveries have little friends who might like the chance to join in, and it is always good for children to share.

Anyway, it's just a thought. Thank you again - we had the best time.

i love liscombe park. its the best riding stables ive ever been to. i have learnt so much there and i love working on saturdays and helping out after school. liscombe park is more like a club than a business and by that i mean everyone is friends we do great activitys and the shows are great fun and liverary club is a brill idea with lots of games and fun things like sleep overs and performing shows. i totally recommend going there. thw owner of liscombe hayley also lets people loan her horses and ponies and when you loan one if feels like they are yours and the price is not a very exspensive ither especially comared to other places. liscombe is amazing and if you are looking for a riding stables to go to then u shuld totally go here !!!=D thanks liscombe for all the gr8 experiences and fun!!!

What can I say about Liscombe, I havent been there for long but its been a great place to go to just to relax and enjoy the company there. Liscombe takes all your worries away, you can have a laugh with the girls, get advise on things that your not sure about and making a fool of yourself with no one worrying about it, its a true famiy at liscombe everyone takes care of everyone. From lena having so many numnahs that every horse and pony could have one, to karen with her matching chaps and brushing boots, and with meg having everything her faviorite colour pink it just wouldnt be liscombe. I have made friends at liscombe that are all ages and friends that I will keep for a life time. I feel that I can be myself at liscombe and its down to th people who are there, thank you.

I would also like to say a big thank you to:
Nikki - for teaching me to ride and for some one to talk to.
The Sunday Girls - for making my sundays a bunch of fun what ever the weather throws at us.

I was feeling in a bit of a reflective mood after reading nice things that shannon wrote about me on her myspace, so i thought i'd write something on here. This brings me to my first point about liscombe...the people i have met there. I am so proud to call them my best friends and think its pretty special that i have so many friends of different ages. I really can not think of one person i dislike at liscombe from the littlest ones who constantly have me in stitches, to the bigger girlies who i have come to think of more as older sisters.
I cant really begin to describe the amount that liscombe has taught me, not only in how to ride and look after horses, but also in dealing with so many different types of people. I used to be a shy little fat kid until i came to liscombe, (believe it or not!) it really does bring you out of your shell as you have to deal with so many people in a day. I really cant say enough how much this has helped me, its pretty hard to explain but i really wouldnt be who i am today without it!
Liscombe is also a place which i escape to, these last few years have not been great for me, but there i can block it all out and just have fun. My family is not the best you could ask for, but i really do think that your friends are the family you choose for yourself, so with this in mind you guys are basically my second family. The best thing is knowing that i am always welcome there, whether it is 7am or pm there will always be a friendly face there, or at least a horse to chat to ;)
Lastly, i feel i really need to say a massive thankyou!
Nicky - thank you for teaching me so much, for putting up with me on fridays, for always being there to help me, for the endless lifts home and for my fingerless gloves :)
Spackie - thank you for always being so happy and chirpy on a bright saturday morning ;) But in all seriousness thankyou for being there to teach me, for putting up with all my comments, and for the endless jokes that revolve around you!
to hayley - I dont think i can thank you enough, firstly for buying me a horse, and then for buying me another one! I never dreamed that this would happen to me as it was never an option that i could afford a horse. Somehow you make sure that nobody ever goes without, i think this is pretty much what makes liscombe the amazing place that it is and i just would like you to know that i will never take for granted what you have done for me!

Liscombe... wow. There's so much to say. Everyone there is always there to help, give advice or just generally have fun with. We refer to Liscombe as our little pink bubble and most of the kids don't really realise how lucky we are. We are a very special yard that you can't really understand until you experience it first hand.

Liscombe is my place to escape from... life. It's the place I go when I'm sad, stressed or just need to escape. During exams Liscombe was the one place I could go and forget about then and relax, albeit only for a few hours a week!! Most of my friends don't understand how I can spend so much time there. They don't understand how much I enjoy just being there. Even if it's pouring down with rain and freezing cold there's nowhere else in the world I'd rather be.

I love our Livery Club because it gives us older girls a chance to get to know the younger kids better, have fun with them and pass on all the knowledge that we have learnt from so many years at Liscombe.

We at Liscombe have been through so many ups and downs. All through last summer with Magic, The tack, Gussy, Kimber and Lacey, Hayley has stuck it out and we have pulled through. This summer has started so well with the huge success of the Family Show, the birth of our gorgeous new baby Tinkerbelle, the iminent building of the new schools and Antony and Fred moving in (Yay!)

Finally, I want to say a big thank you to Nicki %26 Jackie, for putting up with me and helping me in anyway they can! I want to say an especially big thank you to Hayley for letting me become an honorary member of the Ward family, giving me a key to her house, and helping me get through some pretty rough times. Thank you for all the lessons and I want to to know how much I (and I'm sure I speak for everyone) appreciate everything you do for me!

I hope this will help next time there is a crisis or problem (because no doubt there will be more!) and it all seems too much, to see how much we all appreciate our little pink bubble you have created and how much none of us want to let it go.

Trying to sum Liscombe up in words is nearly impossible, but ill try. I started riding at Liscombe when I was 6, and began working there at 12. Most people start working at the weekends when they have a pony on loan, but I started in the Easter holiday, and was there everyday without fail, probably very annoying to all of the liveries and staff, but hey! They are all used to me being annoying now! Anyway, I settled in quickly and bought a horse in June 06, called Kenzi. With help from all of the staff, we managed to survive the first show season, just! It was quite amusing, as I got eliminated in all but 1 show all season, and managed to jump out of the ring too. We started getting placed in 2007, even though I had little control! Claire and Tim, the first- aiders, used to come and stand next to the ring when I went in, waiting for me to fall off, but I didn’t. By the end of the season, I couldn’t wait for 2008. In August 07, I had a bad fall in the front barrow, after Kenzi galloped off and took me under a low tree, and I fell off and broke my jaw. We decided to move him to a quieter yard, where he could have more schooling, but I don’t think that I could have made that decision on my own, without the help and support of the staff and liveries.

Soon afterwards, I bought a new horse, one that I would be able to ride without worrying that I wouldn’t be able to stop. Archie is a wicked horse! He’s just the sort of thing that I wanted, and I can’t wait for this season!… Nearly done!!!!

The thing with Liscombe is that it’s not just about the horses. It really is a second home, with a second family! You can never go a day at the yard without laughing! The memories I have of the people at Liscombe make me laugh every time I think about it! I love every minute I spend there, and I always will…
